Our area of expertise is in Digital Photograhy with a focus on product photography. We can capture images of products both large and small as well as various types of artwork. In addition, we can offer training in digital photograph and digital image manipulation as well as art direction.
Digital Photography
Creating high-quality, professional digital images is challenging. Product photograhy is more than just an image; it's how your customers see what they want to buy without holding it in their hands. The same can be said for artwork imagery. We excell creating digital images that communicate powerfully. We can capture the images, correct them and prepare them for you for print or web.
Art Direction
Knowing how to manage all the pieces that come together to make a great image and being able to watch all the details can make the difference between capturing a fabulous, perfect image quickly and struggling to capture an image that is close but not quite perfect. The key to professional art direction is in knowing what the image needs to communicate, understanding the various roles and perspectives each team member brings to the shoot and recognizing how to help the entire team work successfully and efficiently. We hold that key. Our services include propping, hiring models, location management, scheduling, working with a photographer to capture the best images, and a whole lot more.
Teaching and Training
We also teach software and skills in photography and design. From basic use of digital photography software, image capture, and lighting to advanced skills we can help you or your staff out by giving them the skills they can use to make better use of the technology they already have. We teach InDesign, Quark Xpress, and Photoshop. |

How does graphic design for print differ from design for the web? |
The differences between designing for print, ebook, or the web go beyond the software tools used for each presentation. Here's what you should know... The skills and knowledge necessary to design successfully for print differs from that needed to design for a web-based presentation. Firstly, and perhaps most obviously, the software tools used to create each type of presentation are different. When you're looking at the software skills of either type of designer, you may find some common tools, such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, but more likely you'll notice that each type of design work requires a wholy different set of tools. The more important differences, however, are the ones that are harder to spot on a simple resume.
